Sean Chang Legal Assistant

Our People

My name is Sean Chang, and the law, for me, has been less of a career choice and more of a quiet, persistent calling. If you had asked me as a child, my answers would have changed with every passing year—first a soldier, then a pilot, always chasing the next adventure. But looking back, the one constant was my love for argument and reason. I simply couldn’t stop.

That instinct found its true home when I began attending trials at the age of 13, watching my father, navigate the silent arena of the courtroom. There, I learned that words are weapons and wit is armour. That each hearing is not a battle of fists, but of minds. That moment ignited a quiet fire in me—and I realised this was the battlefield I was meant for.

I graduated with honours from Multimedia University with a Bachelor of Laws Degree in 2022. After brief but invaluable stints as a paralegal at Norendra & Yap and an internship at Law Chambers of Dahlia Lee, I began my nine-month pupillage in May 2024 at Mah-Kamariyah & Philip Koh (MKP) under the watchful and brilliant guidance of Ms. Yee Chew Yan. She is, as I often say, a true master of every trade, and I am honoured to have learned from her.

Beyond the law, I am the eldest son of three siblings, raised in Kuala Lumpur by parents whose steadfast love and sacrifices have brought me to this moment. I am deeply grateful for my family, and for my closest companions across school, university, and chambering, who have been my anchor through every high and low.

I was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on May 9, 2025, with my father having the honour of robing me—a full-circle moment I will treasure forever.

I step into this profession with dedication, humility, and a willingness to learn. I look forward to serving with integrity and heart, and to forging justice—one case at a time.
