I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to the incoming President Sutisa Kuesuk
of Rotary Club Songkhla on taking the helm of such a vibrant and successful club. It brings me profound sadness that I am unable to attend this joyous installation occasion in person. However, I have sent my spouse, to join you and share in this great celebration, carrying my best wishes.
Looking back on the year just passed, in my capacity as International Service Director of Rotary Club Pudu, I must express profound gratitude. My sincere thanks go to Immediate Past President Wiparat Petcharat and PP Charuwon Hautavanija, PP Sombat Hautavanija, and all dedicated members of Rotary Club Songkhla for your invaluable partnership, including but not limited to PP. Suputtra Yomjaroen, PP. Nathamon Uthairingsri, PP. Kampanart Uppatham, PP. Niphanan Thammarat, PP. Supakorn Nithipatanatada, Rtn. Sutisa Kuesuk, Rtn. Songsri Kabinlapat and Rtn. Tanarat Banjongrat.
Together, we undertook three significant joint projects in February 2025. These collaborative efforts were not only meaningful but also achieved remarkable recognition, securing three prestigious District awards.
We are immensely proud that our collective work earned the following honours: the Best District Award for the Environment Project, awarded for the impactful Zoey Crab initiative;
The First Runner Up District Award for the International Service Project, recognising our Autism Children Project; and
The First Runner Up District Award for the Peace & Conflict Resolution Project, bestowed upon our inspiring World Understanding Night.
As the International Service Director of Rotary Club Pudu, and on behalf of President Benjamin and every member of our club, I wish to convey our most heartfelt appreciation. This extends far beyond the awards themselves. We deeply value the exceptional warmth, unwavering dedication, and true spirit of fellowship demonstrated by your members throughout our collaboration.
Undertaking these projects together was a testament to the power of Rotary connections across borders. Your club’s commitment, resources, and shared vision were instrumental in transforming these initiatives from concepts into award-winning realities that created tangible positive change.
The synergy between our clubs amplified our impact significantly, reaching communities and addressing needs in ways neither could have achieved alone. The fellowship experienced during planning meetings, project execution, and celebratory moments forged lasting bonds of friendship and mutual respect.
This partnership exemplifies the very essence of Rotary’s ideal of ‘Service Above Self’ through international cooperation. We are truly honoured to have worked alongside such a committed and capable team.
The success of these projects stands as a powerful reminder of what Rotarians can accomplish when united by common purpose. Your club’s professionalism, enthusiasm, and generous spirit made the collaboration not just productive, but truly rewarding. We cherish the fellowship fostered and look forward eagerly to future opportunities to serve together.
I will look forward with great anticipation to welcoming you and a delegation from Rotary Club Songkhla in August 2025 during our own installation ceremony. May your new Rotary year be filled with continued success, meaningful service, and enduring fellowship.
