It has been a pleasure working in this firm.\u00a0 Like many, I began my attachment with zero experience in legal field, and I am grateful for being provided with a chance to learn from Mr. Alex Chang of his legal skills.\u00a0 It is very fortunate that I have been invited by Mr.\u00a0 Chang to attend an arbitration competition that was chaired by him allowing me to learn from many top tier arbitrators who participated in the contest.<\/h5>\n
Besides, being an attachment here I was given many opportunities to follow Mr.\u00a0 Chang and his pupil in chamber, Germaine Chan to attend court hearings, giving me an understanding of the real nature of court proceedings. Through these experiences, I am able to have a taste of the intense feeling of the court proceedings.<\/h5>\n
I am also provided with an opportunity to participate in a joint inspection in a taking possession operation\u00a0 from a \u201chostile\u201d tenant with Mr Chang’s legal assistant, Miss Jess Pang.\u00a0 From this experience, I learnt from Jess that as a member of the legal profession, we have to carry out our work in a fastidious manner, and at the same time making sure that our client’s interest is protected.<\/h5>\n
Besides, I was given a chance to serve a writ of summons to Kelantan.\u00a0 To be honest, although I have been living in this country for more than 20 years, that was the first time I stepped into that state. This experience of serving a writ is very interesting and exciting despite the long journey having to sit in\u00a0 in a double decker bus.<\/h5>\n
At this point, I would like to share the working experience within the office of Alex Chang & Co. Mainly, I am assigned with some basic office assistant work such as photostating, scanning, filing, researching and etc. In some occasions, I have been assigned to send documents to law firms, courts, and others. I hope to express my utmost gratitude to Ms.\u00a0 Janice Wong, Ms.\u00a0 Chow, and Mr.\u00a0 Ang for their guidance and forgiving nature whenever I have made mistakes.<\/h5>\n
As a whole, the experience working as an attachment in Alex Chang & Co is fun yet challenging, as you have to meet the daily goals set by Mr.\u00a0 Chang.\u00a0 If you wish to give yourself a challenge, Alex Chang & Co should certainly be your top pick.<\/h5>\n
