I, Shaikh Harun, appear for the Petitioner, and my learned friends representing the relevant bodies that have been\u00a0 introduced\u00a0 earlier.\u00a0\u00a0 Your\u00a0 Petitioner was born in Kuala Lumpur on a remarkable date of 16th\u00a0 September 1983 and (now known as Malaysian Day) is a third child to the Late Mr Foo Kuo Liang and\u00a0 Madam\u00a0 Lee Soo Chan.\u00a0\u00a0 Petitioner\u2019s late father was a\u00a0 retired\u00a0 medical salesman\u00a0 and his\u00a0 mother is a home maker.<\/p>\n

My Lady,
\nYour Petitioner read laws at University of London, vide their External Programme. Thereafter, your Petitioner in obtained his Certificate in Legal Practice and underwent his pupilage at Messrs Alex Chang & Co under the tutelage of my learned friend Mr Chang.<\/p>\n

My Lady,
\nAllow me a minute or two to let all concerned know some secrets of your petitioner. His first ambition was to be an ambulance driver,\u00a0 because\u00a0 your petitioner\u00a0 wants\u00a0 to devote his life to the public.\u00a0\u00a0 But however, he was enlighten by his brother,\u00a0 Mr\u00a0 William\u00a0 Foo, who also\u00a0 a fellow member\u00a0 and is\u00a0 present\u00a0 today, told\u00a0 him\u00a0 that\u00a0 becoming\u00a0 a lawyer can\u00a0 save\u00a0 more lives.\u00a0\u00a0 Hence, your petitioner embarked the journey of laws.\u00a0 Mr Chang assures me, he taught your petitioner how to wind up companies but wont chase AMBULANCES.<\/p>\n

My Lady,
\nYour Petitioner completed his pupilage under the tutelage of my learned\u00a0 friend Mr Alex Chang Huey Wah Esq from\u00a0 Messrs.\u00a0\u00a0 Alex Chang & Co who is the Author of the Book Companies Winding Up
\nHandbook, an expert regarded by some in companies winding up petitions.<\/p>\n

As a pupil of Alex Chang Esq, he had a great time learning and exploring\u00a0 corporate law, assisted in the research for matters from Magistrates\u2019 Court right up to the Federal Court.<\/p>\n

He was also tutored and\u00a0 later\u00a0 took charge to argue\u00a0 contested\u00a0 applications in the High Court as well.<\/p>\n

Your petitioner always\u00a0 remembers two phrases learnt from Mr Chang which is \u201cBuilding your Personality is more\u00a0 important\u00a0 than learning the law\u201d and\u00a0 \u201cSelf-Realisation- find out\u00a0 what\u00a0 are\u00a0 your\u00a0 weaknesses\u00a0 and build on them\u201d.\u00a0 I\u00a0 was\u00a0 told\u00a0 by\u00a0 your\u00a0 petitioner that these phrases\u00a0 will propel him further in life.<\/p>\n

It is therefore not surprising that he sums up the period reading in the chambers of Alex Chang Esq as interesting, very challenging.<\/p>\n

My Lady,
\nOn this memorable and remarkable day for Mr Foo Hiap Choong, Your Petitioner, he seizes this opportunity to record his appreciation\u00a0 to his parents, late father Mr Foo Kuo Liang and Madam Lee Soo Chan\u00a0 the endless tender love and care, financial support and of course, all her delicious cooking.\u00a0 Also,\u00a0 a special thanks to his brother Mr William Foo who always guide and support him whenever\u00a0 he needs\u00a0 help, his\u00a0 sister\u00a0 Miss Wendy Foo, his good relative \u2013 \u201cKoo Ma\u201d \u2013\u00a0 Madam Chua, his lecturer Mr Joseph Low, his best\u00a0 friend\u00a0 Mr Tony Chong\u00a0 who takes\u00a0 time to teach him the \u201clife\u201d lessons- \u201chow to apply law in your life\u201d, \u201ccritical thinking\u201d and of course all his friends present here.<\/p>\n

Looking back at the nine months, Your Petitioner\u00a0 expresses\u00a0 his gratitude to Miss Jo Tan, and all his colleagues in Messrs Alex Chang & Co, for making his time reading in chambers a meaningful
\nand unforgettable one.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Finally: \u201cThank you again to his Master, Alex Chang Esq, the best\u00a0 master in this world. Alex say\u00a0 this statement is only\u00a0 the opinion of\u00a0 Your Petitioner, it cannot be wrong as Mr Foo knew only one master ma \u2026.<\/p>\n

My Lady,
\nI believe that Your Petitioner\u2019s papers are in order and the relevant bodies have no objections.
\nWherefore I humbly pray that Petitioner be admitted and enrolled as\u00a0 an Advocate and Solicitor of High Court of Malaya.
