Date:     23rd July 2010
Time:    3.45 pm

Admission Speech of Miss Nur Azhan Binti Ahmad Pauzi as
Advocate and Solicitor, High Court of Malaya.

If it pleases you My Lady,

I, Kenneth Lye,    appear for   the Petitioner,   and my learned
friends representing the relevant  bodies that have  been
introduced earlier.

Petitioner was born in Kuala Terengganu on a remarkable date
of 14th August and is a first child to a loving couple Encik Ahmad
Pauzi bin Awang Hamat and  Puan Zawiyah Binti Sidi Abdul Latiff.
Petitioner’s father is a retired  army  officer  and  is  now running a
construction business while  her mother is housewife.

My Lord,
Your Petitioner  read laws at the  Universiti Teknologi Mara, Shah
Alam and  is planning to further her studies in Syariah Law by
taking Advanced Diploma in Syariah Law (DSLA).

My Lord,

Allow me a minute or two to let all concerned to know some
secrets behind that beautiful face of your petitioners.   She was not
impressed by LA Law, Alley MacBeal and the likes.   She is a great
admirer of  Sheila Majid, therefore her first ambition was to be a
singer.  Besides singing she also wanted to climb Mt Kinabalu  but
since she has yet to find time to do that she is contented with  rock
climbing at the moment.

Your Petitioner had more than one pupil master, she eventually
chose to complete her pupillage  under  the  tutelage  of my
learned friend  Alex   Chang Huey Wah Esq   from Messrs. Alex
Chang & Co  who is the Author of the Book Companies Winding
Up Handbook,  an expert in winding up, injunction, shareholders’
dispute and debt recovery.      As a pupil of   Alex Chang Esq  ,
she  had a   great time   learning and exploring  corporate law.

Her  acquaintance  with  Chang  Esq started  when   she  was on
‘attachment’ and was   involved  in  the research of   his   book,
"Footprints of a Judge’s Journey Through Mother Earth based on
the judgements of the late Dato’ Vincent Ng” which was published
in  2009.    Thereafter  Your Petitioner  found the  period  reading
in the chambers of  Mr. Alex  Chang   as    interesting,     very
challenging and this experience   gives her  strength   to  take on
new challenges.    Looking back, she told me that an important
thing she learned  from  Mr Chang which will be guiding her for
some time to come,  is that life is a never ending learning process.

My Lord,
On this memorable and remarkable day for Miss Nur Azhan Binti
Ahmad Pauzi, Your  Petitioner, she seizes  this opportunity to
record her   appreciation to her parents Encik Ahmad Pauzi bin
Awang Hamat and Puan Zawiyah Binti Sidi Abdul Latiff  for the
endless tender  love and care,     moral and  financial  support.
Big thanks for her younger sisters  and brothers, teachers,
lecturers and friends for their prayers and guidance.   She likes to
use two big words here,  ‘eternal  gratefulness’   to her Master,
Alex  Chang Esq, the best teacher  she  has  encountered  thus
far,  and to all the other  masters  for  their  endless helping hands,
teachings, experience and  opportunities granted  to Your
Petitioner. Your Petitioner is also indebted   to her best friend,
Encik Airol Irwan Bin Limin for sharing   her joys and sorrows
during the studies and pupilage.  And not to forget all the
colleagues for their helping hands.

My Lord,
I believe that  Your  Petitioner’s  papers are   in order  and the
relevant bodies   have no objections.  Wherefore  I  humbly pray
that Petitioner be admitted and enrolled  as an Advocate and
Solicitor of High Court of Malaya.  I am obliged.

I  seek leave   from this Honourable Court to  invite  Mr. Alex
Chang  Your  Petitioner’s pupil  master to   robe  Your  Petitioner.
